Introducing the Balenciaga Rodeo Bag
By Bragmybags 1 month ago 56 Views No comments

Launching on May 10th, 2024, a campaign photographed by Mario Sorrenti showcases the Balenciaga Rodeo Bag, an instant icon named for the world-famous intersection of luxury and fashion, Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

The series features Australian actor and Balenciaga brand ambassador Nicole Kidman, Chinese actor and singer Yang Chaoyue, and American model Amelia Gray. Their individuality is on display, set against a soft grey field in striking portraits. The Balenciaga Rodeo Bag is crafted in exquisite calfskin with a matte finish. Its one-of-a-kind construction and versatile closure options effect a relaxed attitude. Pre-worn pleats, softened piping, and raw edges call to mind a favorite item worn daily, or an heirloom passed between generations.

The Balenciaga Rodeo Bag is named after the Beverly Hills shopping district Rodeo Drive, a world-famous intersection of luxury and fashion. The Rodeo’s one-of-a-kind construction offers versatile wear: a tilted shape makes for easy carry in which the front compartment is left intentionally open, effecting a laissez-faire aesthetic, reinforced side snaps on accordion folds allow for a slimmer yet expandable option.

And it truly embodies that casual Socal vibe too. For example, the bag’s front compartment has a flap that is actually meant to stay open. But no worries, because a turn-lock clasp will secure your valuables within the main body. Supple calfskin leather, one that will develop a natural patina over time, further emphasises its relaxed look.

With smooth, glove-grade nappa lambskin lining, the Rodeo is equally sumptuous on the inside. Two snap buttons on the sides allow the Rodeo to expand whenever you need extra space. There are also two flat pockets on the back for cards and other quick-access items.

Carrying the bag is straightforward, with the top handle long enough to sling over the shoulder. Alternatively, the removable shoulder strap will keep the supple leather bag close to your body if you prefer. Balenciaga’s Rodeo launches in Singapore on 26 February, with three sizes to choose from.

The smallest measures 29 cm by 20 cm, while its larger counterparts come in at 35 cm by 23 cm and 40 cm by 30 cm respectively. A separate launch is slated for the collector’s edition of the Rodeo, which comes with an elaborate assortment of charms. Expect heart-shaped carabiners, lockets and keys-on-chain, and a Balenciaga retail tag, amongst others.
